The Small Time Podcast #002

Episode #002: Live From Dubuque

Playing with the Big Eagle Band, we find ourselves seeking adventure outside the Chicago-land area.  As a result, we tend to find ourselves in Dubuque, Iowa 3-4 times a year playing at a handful of clubs that we love.  Even more fun, we typically don’t bring the wives or children, allowing the four of us to trash a hotel room and generally act like a bunch of 12 year old idiots.  Episode 002 shed a little light onto what’s leftover of the Big Eagle Band after one of those nights.

What is The Small Time Podcast?

In early 2011, Phil (drummer for Killie McGee, guitarist for Big Eagle Band) and I thought it would be neat to try to make a podcast.  Working on the road a lot this year I’ve replaced listening to music and talk radio in the car with a slew of podcasts like WTF, the Tobolowski Files and the entire Smodcast Network and became fascinated at not just the quality of the podcasts but I was incredibly curious how they were produced.

Enter Phil, my accomplice in production.  Using GarageBand and an array of mics we set out to try the art of podcasting.  It’s still all a hobby and an utter work in progress, but I’m going to post them here as we progress.
